The Stone Owl Family Office ushered in the season with a festive evening high above the city, gathering a curated group of partners, clients, and long-time collaborators for a holiday celebration that blended warmth, sophistication, and genuine connection. Held on the twenty-eighth floor of the Grant Thornton Building (320 Granville Street), the event offered skyline views that shimmered against the December night, creating the perfect setting for meaningful conversations and year-end reflections by the ELL Comms team and 100+ guests.

Hosted by Stone Owl, the evening was shaped by the presence of key team members Carl Brodie, David Wong, and Chloe Yao, whose hospitality ensured a polished yet welcoming atmosphere. Guests mixed effortlessly as the room filled with familiar and friendly faces from across Vancouver’s business community. It was a pleasure to see Mark Funston, Brady Dahmer, and Ruby Sandhu of Tropoly, and to connect with Kevin Koziey and Carla Elm of RYAN CPA. Stone Owl also welcomed industry peers including Peter Skaronis, Bilal Kathrada, Felicity Zhao of Summer Lake Design, and the energetic duo of Carl Zheng and Daniel Kaiser of Atomic Fitness.

The ELL Comms team added to the evening’s vibrancy, with Vlad Xanthopoulos, Jade Massie, Ritchie Po, and Adam Frewer joining Editor-in-Chief and Publisher Helen Siwak to celebrate the season among clients, collaborators, and friends.
Sponsors played an important role in elevating the experience, with support from Hästens, Hammergroup, ARC Mortgage, and Clearline CPA, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that defines Stone Owl’s work as a trusted financial concierge for business families across Canada.
Guests enjoyed a curated selection of wines from FRIND Winery in the Okanagan, accompanied by seasonal bites that encouraged relaxed conversation. DJ Ryan set the rhythm with a smooth, upbeat soundtrack that carried through the space, infusing the night with warmth and momentum.
The full story, however, will be told best through the extensive photo collage that follows — a vibrant celebration of a community that continues to build, support, and grow together.
